Haul + Current Favorites: Sephora, Ipsy, Lancome, Benefit & Bareminerals!

HAUL! HAUL! HAUL!
Time to blog again!

Hiiiii!

I know I have been so OUT of the circle for such a long time!
Now is a good start to blog again and share with you the things I got lately.
 Okay let's start with my...

IPSY March 2015
So I got a pink bag in the mail and when I opened, it comes with five cute items.
The floral bag is too small to be a makeup bag though.
I took a sneak peak online of what am I getting for my first ipsy bag.
And so I received, a concealer brush which I haven't used yet.
My old ones aren't retired yet haha!
I also got a highlighter pencil that seems to be creamy.
Pixi eyeshadow duo which I haven't opened too but I like the neutral colors.
I am pretty interested with the hair oil treatment to tame my hair.
And one of my current fave, the NYX butter lipstick in Pops.
It's like your lips but better shade, very wearable and absolutely gorgeous!
I thought I am getting the Hunk shade which looks like a purple shade but
luckily I got a better one that I can wear everyday!

Wallet damage: $10.00

SEPHORA Birthday Haul!
I can not express just how much I love the AMAZING GRACE firming emulsion
from Philosphy! It just smells uhhmaaaazingly divine! My senses just loves it's scent so much!
I got the largest bottle from Sephora and since it's my birthday month, I got their gift from Nars.
I got couple of free samples too which I personally chose from their site.
Shipping was a breeze too! Love everything so far!

Wallet damage: $55.00
*free shipping for $50.00 worth online

Just wanna add that I purchased "Fresh" Sugar Lip Service at Sephora store.
It was kind of a disappointment. I love the shade in Tulip most, other than that the rest was just okay.
But $34.00 worth for a set of 3 lipbalms and 1 lip exfoliant. I should have just gotten burst bee's or chapstick brands.

Lancome gift bag!
I love this gift with purchase (GWP) makeup loot!
The blush and bronzer are both good sample size and they come with a big size mirror!
I love 'em! I also love the two lippies! They last all day!
Love the Tresor lotion but the La vie est belle lotion and other stuff, I gave them as a gift,
Wallet Damage: $0.00 (Gift!)

 Benefit Bella Bamba duo!
This was such an unplanned purchase! I got both of them for a good price from their store though.
I love the peachy pink shimmers it gives and the lip gloss would probably
take me forever to finish! That's a lot in a tube seriously!
I like them and I love how cheap I got them for compared to the original price!
Wallet damage: $13.00 for both! *wink*

And of course my Bareminerals Faves!
This bronzer was given to me at the workshop training.
I knew I love it the moment I laid my eyes on it!
It got the golden undertone I love for the highlighter.
I have the cool bronzer, The Ocean View and a warmer bronzer, the High Dive.
$25.00 at Navy Exchange, Mall at the Pearl Harbor

I have not tried this two yet. I also recieved them from the Bareminerals Spring Academy,
but I am excited to try. Colors looks very spring-ish!

My daily routine! My current favorite!
Complexion Rescue ($29.00 in stores) and New Smoothing Face brush (28.00).
I am in shade Buttercream 03. I love how lightweight it feels yet it does the color correcting job!

I am also a fan of their Moxie Lip glosses. It feels so refreshing and  moisturizing on lips!
If you love mint, you'll definitely love this!

Current foundation I use is bareMinerals Original foundation in
Fairly Light. Retails $28.00 in stores. It has 9 grams which can last
all through out the year!

Stay tuned for my in-depth reviews or new hauls!
Let me know if you have a specific product you want me to blog first from above mentioned.
Thank you for reading!

NYX Mosaic Blush in LOVE: A twist to my mainstream blush color

Hi (again) everyone! :)
Just like what I've said on my super previous LA Colors Bronzer post (which was just hours ago LOL), I wanted to make this day a productive one. Hence, I'm spontaneously making posts. Can someone pls tap me at the back and congratulate me for a "no-no procrastination day!* Womp womp!

And also, I hope everyone is okay. Let's pray for all the victims of flood here in Philippines...
I also hope there would be no massive spread of Leptospirosis and other diseases as I've heard on the news that the medics are now prepared on medical matters than what happened on Ondoy before.
*crossing my fingers*

Now unto the main topic. Some of you might already now how much I love blushes.
One thing that I can't forget to wear on a daily basis is blush. I just love love love them to bits!
As mentioned way back on my previous blush reviews, as much as possible I wanna try all blush shades and color. Pinks and peaches are my mainstream cheek color. But lately, I've been hooked to this lovely orangey blush with very beautiful subtle shimmers!

It's none other than NYX Mosaic Blush in LOVE.
LOVEly indeed!

Here are some photos to show you:

Below are my swatches:
1st Photo:
Swatched per individual color
2nd photo:
Left: Heavy swatch when the color is mixed altogether
Right:  Blended well

and of course, NYX Mosaic Blush in LOVE

Here are the swatches of  the two (2) current NYX Mosaic blushes I own,
LOVE and PLUMMY

NYX Cosmetics product claims over their Mosaic Blushes:
"Like a light switch for the face, this medley of five luminizerscreates a dazzling glow for every skin tone. Our Mosaic Powder Blush canbe used on cheeks, eyes and even lips. The mineral-based formulahighlights, hydrates and helps protect skin. Available in 12 shades."

MY THOUGHTS
Pros:
-I love how it naturally adds glow on my cheeks! I love the subtle shimmers and orange color! I make sure to blend it well to get the perfect orange hue.
-The packaging looks fairly decent. It's also very handy and travel-friendly.
-You'll be getting 5.7g in just one pan. That's a lot for me.
-Versatile blush color! I have tried it on my friends which have different skin complexion and undertone as I have. I noticed how the color compliments well on each of them. I highly suggest that you use it sparingly if you have fair complexion. While few swipes of this blush looks so flattering on morena dolls!
-It blends well and easy to apply. Just brush on your cheeks and oohhhlala, you now have that lovely orange blush with coral glow. LOVEly!
-Definitely not as chalky and stays longer than my NYX mosaic blush in plummy.

Cons:
-Hoping NYX would be available on our local Philippine shopping malls.

Where to purchase?
NYX cosmetics
There are numerous online shops that sell them. Mine was a gift from Ms. Myla, the very sweet owner of Fabshopaholic  for my 1st blog and YouTube anniversary.
My lovely readers will also receive gifts from her so definitely keep an eye on that.
She is nice and sweet. Very accommodating in my opinion.
Btw, Ms. Myla is also the lady behind Glaminar Makeup Artistry.

Time to go to bed for me. Need to get up for an early work tom.

Better to have classes and work offices than see your fellow countrymen being flooded by heavy rain! Let's keep on praying and believing in Almighty that this will soon be over. Keep the faith. Every rainbow comes after the rain...

LA colors Bronzer

Hi everyone!

Before I get into the review...As of now, floods paralyzed the Philippine capital, Manila and nearby provinces including my beloved Cavite. Wish that all, if not, most of you and your families are safe and sound. Let's all pray for the victims of flood and the rest who are affected by the continuous episodes of hard rain. Also extending my appreciation to all my dear fellas who asked if I'm okay here in Cavite. The city I'm residing is fortunately not affected. Thanks for all your concerns my friends. <3

Since I have no work today, I'd opt to still make this day productive. Hence, here's a review for you.
My addiction to blushes wasn't seem enough.
Bronzers add more flattering effect on my face. Here's a review of the recent bronzer I've been loving lately.

L.A. Colors Bronzer in Glowing
"Creates a tan glow. Enhance Face and Cheeks"

See my swatches down below:

RIGHT: LA Colors Bronzer heavy swatch
LEFT: LA Colors Bronzer blended well
RIGHT: LA Colors Bronzer heavy swatch
LEFT: LA Colors Bronzer blended well
MIDDLE: LA Colors Bronzer heavy swatch
RIGHT: Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer
PROS:
-Slenderize and adds a nice glowing effect on my skin. Just don't expect it to contour and slim down your face much as it is a bronzing powder not a contouring powder. Hence, it adds a nice shimmery tan glow on skin and may somehow help to slenderize the face shape. Where as the latter comes in matte and is used to create shadows which really makes an intense change on the face shape.
-Travel friendly packaging
-Not too shimmery at all
-Looks natural. Don't be deceive on how it looks dark on the pan.
-Wearable even daytime. Just apply with light hand.
-Stays for a decent no. of hours.
-Blends well and easy to apply.
-Oh I forgot, it comes with a travel size brush. Nice to know that the company considered adding one but personally, I don't like recommend it.

CONS:
-Only one shade available.
~I can't think of anything else~

Over all, I do recommend this bronzer.
It's a staple product on my travel makeup pouch! Love it!

Definitely way better than my Nichido Bronzer. It works great and this is what I bring with me at work compared to my big Guerlain Terracotta bronzer.

What bronzer have you tried already?
Be not afraid of bronzers! Just use it sparingly or you'll end up looking like an oompa loompa.

Thank you so much for reading!
If you're from Philippines, don't forget to bring your umbrellas!
Stay safe!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

Say hi to a happy Monday lovelies! :)
Today, I just want to throw my two cents on one of the most known powder foundation-MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus.

 PRODUCT CLAIMS:
A one-step application of foundation and powder. Gives skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte, full-coverage finish. Long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours. A real all-in-one. The choice of pros, and a long time favourite of M∙A∙C fans.
Source: MAC Cosmetics

Product weight:
15 g / 0.52 US oz

Price:
US$27.00 (from Official Mac website)
But I got mine for $33 at Duty Free Philippines

PROS:
-Decent black compact packaging with mirror and a hygienic separate storage for sponge.
-Literally a foundation on it's own. It gives a nice full coverage on skin. (Great for events and special occasions)
-Feels silky and finely milled yet not powdery at all.
-Comes with a good quality sponge.

CONS:
-It's a steep price.
-Staying power may vary according to one's skin type.

I couldn't comment on skin breakouts since I haven't use this as much. Still prefer a light-medium coverage for daily basis (that's why BB cream and mineral foundie are still my picks). It's nice to try out and see for myself if it's worth the hype. It's best recommended if you want full coverage. Perhaps you're staying most of the time in a fully air-conditioned room and the price isn't bothering for you. Personally noticed that I reach more for my MAC Blotting Powder.

I'm no MAC expert by the way. Regardless, I still want to remind all to be careful with lots of fake MAC products out on the market. Who knows what harmful skin chemicals/ingredients it may contain--Prolly not visible with your early usage but who knows in the long run 'ayt?
I remember, a known local beauty blogger, Ms. Martha blogged about how to spot authentic vs fake MAC cosmetics, you might want to check that out.

Leaving you with a comparison shot of MAC's two different powders.

and MAC's most current collection.
Thank you so much for reading my post.
Take care and God Bless!

xoxo,
Jannah

FM Perfume and Cosmetics Sugar Lip Scrub

Hi lovelies!
Just wanted to quickly share a review of a
lip scrub that was given to me as a gift from my friend,
 (actually BFF, Hi LOLA BELLE!).
She knows I wear lip products a loooot
and at the end of the day I always end up asking her if my lips are looking dry
as I always have chapped lips. (El Niño ang peg! LOL!)
Btw, she also gave me a purse from Vigan.

PRODUCT CLAIMS:
Prepares the lips for the perfect application of lip gloss or lip tint.
Contains sugar crystals, panthenol and vitamin E to nourish and smooth the lips creating a tempting look.
The aroma of appetising mango.
Convenient and easy to use applicator
Recommended for use with Minty lip gel.
Weight: 1.9g

Directions:
Just keep on twisting the pen until the products come out. Apply it on your lips. You'll feel the sugar (which smells so good) scrubbing against your lips. Use this before applying any lip product for smoother finish. You may also use at night, then apply lip balm or moisturizer after scrubbing.

Here's my LIPS BEFORE photo:

DURING:

See the sugars?

And of course, AFTER shot:

Performance was okay, not really something to rave about tho.
However, I like it since it's travel friendly.
It's something beneficial (to people like me) and doesn't have bothering smell nor taste.

What's your best lip scrub?
Mine was just a  DIY Lip scrub before I had this.
Just get a soft bristled toothbrush, sugar and viola! Scrub your lips gently my dear!

Thank you so much for reading!

J
