Haul + Current Favorites: Sephora, Ipsy, Lancome, Benefit & Bareminerals!

HAUL! HAUL! HAUL!
Time to blog again!

Hiiiii!

I know I have been so OUT of the circle for such a long time!
Now is a good start to blog again and share with you the things I got lately.
 Okay let's start with my...

IPSY March 2015
So I got a pink bag in the mail and when I opened, it comes with five cute items.
The floral bag is too small to be a makeup bag though.
I took a sneak peak online of what am I getting for my first ipsy bag.
And so I received, a concealer brush which I haven't used yet.
My old ones aren't retired yet haha!
I also got a highlighter pencil that seems to be creamy.
Pixi eyeshadow duo which I haven't opened too but I like the neutral colors.
I am pretty interested with the hair oil treatment to tame my hair.
And one of my current fave, the NYX butter lipstick in Pops.
It's like your lips but better shade, very wearable and absolutely gorgeous!
I thought I am getting the Hunk shade which looks like a purple shade but
luckily I got a better one that I can wear everyday!

Wallet damage: $10.00

SEPHORA Birthday Haul!
I can not express just how much I love the AMAZING GRACE firming emulsion
from Philosphy! It just smells uhhmaaaazingly divine! My senses just loves it's scent so much!
I got the largest bottle from Sephora and since it's my birthday month, I got their gift from Nars.
I got couple of free samples too which I personally chose from their site.
Shipping was a breeze too! Love everything so far!

Wallet damage: $55.00
*free shipping for $50.00 worth online

Just wanna add that I purchased "Fresh" Sugar Lip Service at Sephora store.
It was kind of a disappointment. I love the shade in Tulip most, other than that the rest was just okay.
But $34.00 worth for a set of 3 lipbalms and 1 lip exfoliant. I should have just gotten burst bee's or chapstick brands.

Lancome gift bag!
I love this gift with purchase (GWP) makeup loot!
The blush and bronzer are both good sample size and they come with a big size mirror!
I love 'em! I also love the two lippies! They last all day!
Love the Tresor lotion but the La vie est belle lotion and other stuff, I gave them as a gift,
Wallet Damage: $0.00 (Gift!)

 Benefit Bella Bamba duo!
This was such an unplanned purchase! I got both of them for a good price from their store though.
I love the peachy pink shimmers it gives and the lip gloss would probably
take me forever to finish! That's a lot in a tube seriously!
I like them and I love how cheap I got them for compared to the original price!
Wallet damage: $13.00 for both! *wink*

And of course my Bareminerals Faves!
This bronzer was given to me at the workshop training.
I knew I love it the moment I laid my eyes on it!
It got the golden undertone I love for the highlighter.
I have the cool bronzer, The Ocean View and a warmer bronzer, the High Dive.
$25.00 at Navy Exchange, Mall at the Pearl Harbor

I have not tried this two yet. I also recieved them from the Bareminerals Spring Academy,
but I am excited to try. Colors looks very spring-ish!

My daily routine! My current favorite!
Complexion Rescue ($29.00 in stores) and New Smoothing Face brush (28.00).
I am in shade Buttercream 03. I love how lightweight it feels yet it does the color correcting job!

I am also a fan of their Moxie Lip glosses. It feels so refreshing and  moisturizing on lips!
If you love mint, you'll definitely love this!

Current foundation I use is bareMinerals Original foundation in
Fairly Light. Retails $28.00 in stores. It has 9 grams which can last
all through out the year!

Stay tuned for my in-depth reviews or new hauls!
Let me know if you have a specific product you want me to blog first from above mentioned.
Thank you for reading!

Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Honey Moon

Baked blushes are eye candies.
How do you say no to a beautiful blush that looks like this. *Aw*

However, I was disappointed when I get to swatch it.
It appears as a highlighter than a blush actually.
Anyway, it's nice that I get to try one hard candy product.
And I guess I'm done lol.

I'll keep it for a while but not really a fan of it though.
It was less than five bucks at walmart.

Swatch at the back of my hand. You can hardly see right?

Photos without any editing wearing the blush on different lighting.

So that's just a quick post of my new baked blush, I mean highlighter.
I should have picked up the doll pink (not sure of the name) instead!
What do you think? Hmm..

WISHTREND: Rivecowe Blush in Shine Orange Review

A self confessed cheek chic here.
No doubt how a little single cutesy girly blush can definitely excite all my senses!
I'm naturally pale. Adding hint of color on my cheeks would totally brighten up my face.
Whether it's gonna be pink, peach, mauvey or orange, but honestly pale pinks and light peachy colors are my cup of tea, like literally the super natural looking ones.
Well anyway, couple of weeks ago I got a new blush from Wishtrend. It's Rivecowe Shine blusher, brand from Korea, in color Shine Orange.

Suesh Refill Pans: Good Blush and Concealer for less!

Hi! Just wanted to quickly share what I got from Suesh in Alabang Town Center couple of days ago. I was actually there for J.Co's oreology and blueberrymore doughnuts to be specific *LOL* and then I saw Suesh once again. So being very kikay and kinda impatient at the same time, I decided to drop by Suesh while the line on J.Co Donuts is so looooong.

NYX Blush in PINCHED

환영합니다
 (hwangyong-hamnida)
Welcome!

Today, lemme share with you a cheek product I've been loving lately!
So much in love that I've been wearing it everyday.
I love how it gives a glow into my face instantly.
A little peachy pink with tiny hints of gold - BEAUTIFUL.

Some of you might already know how a "cheek person" I am.
I mean to say I how I love wearing a blusher!
Anyway, please refrain from calling it "blush-on",
"blush" or "blusher" are either more appropriate.

A Chic~Cheek stuff : Shining Blusher & Eyeshadow

How many of you dream of having that glowing pink flush on cheeks?

Well I do.
I honestly do.

Having fair skin is not always as good as others may think.
There are days that you'll definitely look pale in a sense that you look very sick.
No choice left but to add a little color if you don't want others to think you're a walker
(LOL I just love watchin' that series so puh-lease forgive my lame words and descriptions).

I dunno if you've seen my previous blush reviews.
I've always been in love with light pink blushes.
Ladies, please refrain from calling it "blush-on".
From now on, practice yourself to refer it as "blush" alone.
Okie dokie? Doesn't that sound more appropriate?
Anyway, goin' back to light pink blush, I've been using this
I got from KKcenterHK.com recently.

MY THOUGHTS:

PACKAGING:
-comes with a good size mirror
-sleek and sturdy packaging
-comes with a cute-y nice brush
-quilted design looks cute
-contains 7g of blush powder (which is a lot I must say)
-at the back it says made in Taiwan
-

PIGMENTATION:
-color division is convenient if you want a lighter or darker shade of blush.
-gives that perfect iridescent pearl pink glow on cheeks.
-It's not too chalky nor powdery
-A little goes a long way
-

SWATCHES:
LEFT: Darker bottom pink; RIGHT: Lighter upper pink
WHEN BLENDED...
I just loooooooove the color a bunch!

Where to purchase?

Recommended to:
-Those with fair complexion
-Blush freaks (like me haha!)
-loves iridescent finishes

I'm such a self-confessed lip and blush freak!
Maybe if you're on my shoes then you'd feel  my makeup necessities.
How I just love how my pale face turns into something healthy and glowing.
Exactly why I love makeup, it adds color on my face.
However, I must say that I still prefer the natural and "barely there" everyday looks...
So this blush is definitely a hit for me!
Love this a bunch!
Hope it will also work or have worked out well on you too.

Have you tried this blush? So what do you think?

How to: Contour, Blush and Highlight

Bid your sweetest farewell to flat and round face by learning the basics of contouring, blush and higlighting.
One magic of makeup is to create illusions of shadows and highlight to enhance great features and lessen certain unwanted areas on the face. This makeup technique simply define and enhance once face shape.

**CONTOUR**

Importance/Benefit: Creating a false shadow by using a darker matte tone making it appear as if there is depth which brings out or lessen features.

What to use: couple of shades darker than your natural skin.
Important to use contouring products with matte finish for a more natural looking shadow than using bronzers with shimmers (which will just defeat the purpose contouring). An angled face brush which is not too thick and flimsy nor dense help get into the hollows of the face well.

Areas to contour:
*If you have wide forehead- apply to each temple and blend well.
*If you want slimmer and pointed nose- apple on the sides of your nose evenly. Add a lighter color on the bridge.
*If you want higher cheekbones: Suck in and do a fish face. Apply darker shades on the hollows. Don't over do. Contour lightly and make sure to blend well. Getting the right shade and applying to right areas are the key to avoid muddy contour look (LOL I just made this phrase up)
*Other areas to contour may also be: lips, chin, eyes

**BLUSH**

Benefit: Add a pop of color on your face. There are tons of different shades of blush. I am personally in love with blushes, mainly the pinks and peaches. They just scream---youthfulness, color and fun! For lazy days, no need for eyeshadows, just slap on your fave blush and lippie and bye-bye to stress or dull looking face.

Comes in different colors and forms i.e. pressed, baked, creams, tints and the loose powders.
Can also be applied using brushes, fingers or puffs.
Blush also comes in matte (no shimmers or anything just plain color), satin (have that pearl finish but not absolutely glittery nor matte), shimmery (chunks of glitters can be seen).

Ways and technique:
*If you want a higher cheekbones-apply only the apples of the cheeks blending it well with your contour.
*If you want to slim down your face just by using blush- apply in a higher angular shape.
*If you want to widen your face-apple the blush horizontally straight and blending it well.

**HIGHLIGHT**

Importance/Benefit: Accentuates the good. I love using highlighter.
It just instantly adds a youthful glow to my skin!

What to use: few shades lighter than your normal skin tone. Comes in either matte or shimmery highlight finish. It can also be in powder or cream form.

*Apply the light colour onto the high planes of face such as:
Tops of cheekbones (above the blush forming a C-shape going toward the browbone area),
Bow of the lip and of course the nose bridge.

Here's a reference photo:
Brown-obviously connotes contour, pink for the blush and white for the highlight.

I hope this simple and brief explanation helped some of you who wanted to know the basics of the three.
It really makes a difference when you add dimension on your face rather than flat and for some who have round face. Why not try and practice? I'm pretty sure you'll get the hang of it and eventually find yourself making this a habit.

Appreciate what you have and enhance it.
That's the beauty of makeup.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
'Til my next post dearies.

Jannah

Shawill Blusher No. 03: That Glowing Pink Cheeks

Hi!
Here's another review of a local product for you gals! I know you like that ayt? ^.~
So after duty I went to mall with my friends, just randomly saw this blush from watsons  actually.
I immediately picked it up since I love the color after I swatched it.
I've been searching for the perfect super light pink blush for the longest time ever! So let's see if I already got it this time...Hmm...

Here's what the packaging looks like...

The blush color..looks darker on pan.

Comes with a mirror and a crappy brush.

Swatch:
LEFT: Heavy swatch (Heavy na yan lol)
Right: Blended

MY THOUGHTS:

Pros:
-Affordable (PHP 138)
-Locally available
-Nice color (Shawill carry wide range of shades for blush)
-Compact packaging with mirror (nvm the brush)
-I like the glow that it instantly adds on my face

Cons:
-Super powdery! (Tried it and Whoa! Major, major, major fall-outs on my clothes huhu!)
-Crappy brush (It sheds bigtime too!)
-Doesn't stay that long

TIP:
-Use a different brush
-Use over a cream blush for better staying power
-Might not show on darker skin color well.

Over all,
In general, the color is almost as what I've been looking for as my perfect light pink blush but the quality is not so good. This would prolly be okay for teenagers, students tho I'm not sure about some people like me who are concern about getting tons of fall-outs. Although, please also do consider the price of this blush, seems like you get what you're paying for. Another thing, just very random actually, I prefer to call it either blush or blusher instead of "blush-on" which I hear mostly even from salesladies themselves.

Thanks for reading my post.
Should you like more reviews of this kind, just feel free to lemme know:)
God Bless everyone!
