Disney Makeup Look Collab

Welcome to the magical world of Disney Princesses!

Few days ago I got a mail from a fellow blogger Denzyll, asking if I can do a collaboration makeup look. She said they didn't know where to begin and saw my past makeup collab with Jannie, Roxanne and Joanna. I checked my schedule and thought I can squeeze in some time to make this collab happen. Everything went smooth and easy.

Guess what I decided to be...

A character from under the sea...

Spongebob? (Cmon!)

Nemo?! (LOL!)

I picked Ariel of The Little Mermaid! Wee:)

Minus the sexy body, the almost-bra-like-shell top (whatever you wanna call it) and mermaid tail 

as I don't have all of those haha! Denzyll chose Jasmine and Georgia decided to be Snow White.

I have always been interested in mermaids. There was actually a time that I went gaga over mermaid stories. Naaah, not the fantaseryes in television LOL! I found myself curiously (usi lang?! haha) reading the told stories of several people who saw them or the so-called "mermaid mummies". Their existence is still questionable until now. Who knows? The sea is a vast place. Humans are incapable of seeing all the dimensions on earth. But I wanna know!( Oh wait, on second thought...wag na lang they may be scary pala waaah!No thanks! I'm fine living  my entire life with curiosity if that's the case LOL!). Aside from my interest on mermaids, I also thought of Ariel first since I own a red wig which matches the Disney character. I wish I own so many wigs that I can turn into many fictional characters just by wearing them. (Cosplayer pala?!hahaha!). I also like her as a heroine, such a powerful, self-reliant, and not to mention, a somewhat rebellious character.

Going back to makeup collaboration...

Here's the look I came up with!

My apologies for the not-so-high-quality photos. I hope I filmed a video when I did this look but I was really rushing on that time (got home late-sleep for a while-morning I did this and have an appointment before lunch). I'm still considering to film a video tutorial on this on my spare time in the next few days may be...It takes me twice longer to film for my channel than to type my beki/gay/lokaret ideas in mind haha.

Makeup for Glasses + Grab your Glasses Giveaway! (OPEN INTERNATIONALLY)

Having troubles on makeup when wearing glasses?

Here are some simple tips for you dearies. 

Personally, I don't actually wear prescription glasses as I have normal 20/20 vision

but I do accessorize myself using fashion glasses, just simply for aesthetic purposes.

FACE:

Best to keep it matte and light. If you need heavier coverage make sure that the foundation you are using has a good quality, doesn't come off and smudge easily as the glasses tend to slide up and down. 

If you have bad circles (like me) then concealing is a must as the frames of  glasses cast shadows making the under eye area look darker. Don't forget to "set" your face makeup!

EYES:

Determine the style of your glasses. Apply primers as it lessens the creasing of eye shadows.
Flamboyant colors are risky but may fit light colored eye glasses and rimless glasses.
Keep your eye subtle for framed eye glasses to avoid clashing and drawing too much attention.
Best to keep the eyes "natural looking" yet pretty and bright. Neutrals are your best friend.
Working with eye liners are more tricky this time. Keep it thin when you have fully framed glasses. It may vary with your eye shape and eye glasses style, try to experiment and see which looks best on you. Best to use waterproof and long lasting eye liners. Pick waterproof mascaras as well. Using volumizing than lengthening mascara does also make sense, the former helps to frame your eye shape while the later might just end up sticking on your lens. White eyeliner helps to lift the eyes. Lastly, do not forget to define your brows, this will frame up the whole makeup look.

CHEEKS:

Light pinks are perfect as it adds color to the face yet it doesn't usually clash with glasses' frame. Try to use blush is upward strokes to create focal points and draw attention of the people on your eyes.

LIPS:
Lip color would actually vary on the color of your glasses, your personal preference, what you are wearing and the event that you will be attending. As long as you can rock it, then sport it!

Here's a video on how I do my "makeup for glasses". I also tried my best to show you the difference of having half rimmed glasses versus a fully framed one. In this video, you may also see what lip color might best fit you and your eye glasses.

FAVES FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2012

Holla lovelies!

Just a quick post of my Favorites for the last month (obviously, based on the title LOL) :P

Since the past few months were quite stressful, I noticed that I got a lot of zit specifically on my forehead, nose area (which is really annoying!) and some on chin which are still unresolved up to now (grrr)

Stress, travelling and lack of good sleep were really the culprits!


Anyway, I'll try to get more rest this start of April before I get back to work (Hayahay!LOL). Refresh my skin and bring back the youthfulness in my look (CHOS! Haha!)


Okay enough of my babbling...Here are the products that I've most likely used everyday for the month of March 2012:

I finally finished my ELLANA mineral foundation in the middle week of March (doomed!). Then, I remember that I had my Maybelline Angelfit Ultra Natural Affinity Foundation compact which I just hit the pan but wasn't entirely emptied when I kept it (Yes, desperada moves). BTW, I really like this but unfortunately they discontinued it for some reasons. If you would notice, based on my previous MONTHLY FAVES & RAVES ENTRIES, I didn't cite any fave powder foundations aside from Ellana, or any foundation in general. 

Still a BB cream addict! Switching brands between Etude House, Ecorre' and Lioele. Honestly, I just use whatever I grabbed first out of them (doesn't seem to matter with me last month).

I don't use eye shadow everyday. Most specially when I'm in a hurry. 

But whenever I feel like using shadows, my first pick is usually the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Last time I checked, my most loved eye shadow was 

SIN for the lids, SMOG on outer-V and CREEP as liner.

I've come up with a little surprise for you lovelies...

This video would mainly show you on how I use my March fave babies.

Keep in mind what I've mentioned above. I don't use eye shadow every single day, most specially when I'm in a hurry. But if I have the luxury of time this is what I usually came up with for the eye makeup. As for the lips, I switch lipstick colors also as stated above but this sheer red was my most often worn with or without any eye makeup at all.

I'm not really feeling well the moment I'm typing this. I'm sick for couple of days already. However, I was still able to film and tried my best to talk better on this video. I can not think further of what I'm going to type here in the info box, hence I'm just literally typing whatever pops in my mind right now LOL.
