Sephora + Drugstore Haul (Mostly Mascaras)

 Hi lovelies!!!

It's been a while!

Just wanted to give a sneak peak of upcoming reviews I wanted to do.

I'm into mascaras lately and as we all know, they do tend to go bad after three months.

With that being said, I don't want to spend too much so I opted to go for drugstore brands which

are by the way known and popular.

I saw great sets at Sephora. 

Holiday kits are always way better deal!

They have great gifts now that you can redeem through beauty insider/VIB rewards points

or using coupon codes.

Another great deal I got was this ELF haul! Make sure to check out their website for awesome offers!

I literally just paid $26 for everything! That includes shipping and gifts. I was only interested with brushes really then they had this fab fall gifts so I got five or was it six makeup items for free! Score!

And then Sephora just had their 20% sale!

 And thanks to my companies I get my gratis, mostly my skincare staples for free.

Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express Mascara Review

Hi! Here's a short review of the mascara I just tried couple of months ago.
It's called Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express Mascara.

I was loyal to my Maybelline Falsies mascara not until I saw the cousin of my husband

having this beautiful lashes which actually looks like she's wearing false eyelashes already.

And so when I asked her she introduced this to me.

And of course I have to have this.

Packaging looks like this.

And the brush is fat and straight.

I can say that I like falsies better since it's curved and hugs my lashes better.

This mascara is really good for volumizing and fair enough as far as lengthening my lashes.

It did not come up as good as my husband's cousins lashes but the effect was okay though for 

a mascara priced around six to eight bucks, depends where you get yours.

It was nice to try a different mascara from the brand I love.

 I just love Maybelline, it's really a good drugstore brand specially there mascaras.

I don't want to spend on mascaras so much not unless they're on sale since you gotta

replace them every three months.

How about you? I have heard about L'Oreals mascaras.

Any recommendations?

Too faced: Better than sex mascara

One day I had this Filipina customer who was looking for this particular mascara, 

who by the way is now my good friend. (Hi Ate Rhea!)

She told me she likes it so much and actually wanted a full size of it.

 I introduced her to other brands but she still wanted this one from Too Faced.

And so I thought this must be really something good.

I searched for it when I got home and purchased one the following day.

Well the name seems to be  like those of  Nars blushes right? lmao!
The packaging is decent, mix of fancy typical too faced product with hint of professionalism not over whelming cuteness if I would be asked.
The box says all the detail you might wanna know.
It claims to be a volumizing and lengthening mascara.

The spoolie is an hour glass shaped brush.

Everything in the packaging is pretty much self explanatory.
Let me just show you the effect it gave on my lashes.
Here's how it looks like on my upper lashes alone.

In comparison, left with the Better than sex mascara 

and right eye without any mascara on and just my bare lashes.

Below is with the mascara on bottom  lashes.

Ang again in comparison with my natural lashes.

 WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT?

* Absolutely volumizes my lashes. No doubt on that.

*It's really black.

* It lengthens without really clumping specially towards the end of the lashes.

*Looks like false eye lashes already.

*Comes in a travel size in a very inexpensive value of just $10.00 only.

*Bears down my lashes big time.

*Curl first prior to application. No matter how I tried to curl it after application even just one coat, it does not really curl at all.

*Best to use with lashes even the natural thin looking ones would look fabulous!

Overall, I love it given that I would curl it first prior to application.

What do you think about it? Seems like a good deal for $10.00 right?

It's from the brand HBC. Lemme start with the packaging, it comes in a sleek blue glossy tube

with a clear side where you can see how black the mascara is.

MY TWO CENTS:

*Pros:

-Gives my lashes the real volume that I want

(I'm not a fan of clumpy lashes. I like my lashes long and volumized but not clumpy.)

-Doesn't flake off easily

-Holds up curl well

-Waterproof (Didn't came off after I cried)

-Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist-tested

-I like the unique flexible wand 

-I like the colorful packaging (A fun of purple color here LOL)

Final Verdict:

Love this!

 MY TWO CENTS:

*Pros:

-Doesn't clump after several coats. 

(I'm not a fan of clumpy lashes. I like my lashes long and volumized but not clumpy.)

-Looks natural than other mascaras I've tried.

-Doesn't flake off easily

-Lengthens lashes and holds up curl well.

-I like the fact that the brush is initially separated from the tube. 

(More hygienic in my opinion LOL.)

*Cons:

-Doesn't really add much volume.

-I find the brush a bit big for the size of my eye.

Not Recommended for:

Those who prefers more volume on lashes.

Final Verdict:

I like it because I love natural looking defined lashes.

3. COVERGIRL LASH BLAST FUSION MASCARA

Wee! Mascara is one of my daily essential. 

I would not personally pick this if it wasn't given to me for free mainly because of it's price (PHP625).

I haven't tried this yet so thanks for this as well. :))

4. SIGMA E25 BLENDING BRUSH 

I never knew that this brush is so soft!

I initially thought it was scratchy but good thing I was WRONG!:)

Now I know why one of my fave YouTube guru, Holly Ann-AeRee likes this also.

I immediately washed it and Oh boy! I think it's going to be my new fave eye brush for the next few months. :)

My new Sigma Blending E-25 Brush :)

 Sigma Blending E-25 Brush looks like a very versatile eye brush for me.

5. GUERLAIN TOTE BAG

A good tote bag to carry around plus I'm a fan of Guerlain bronzer which I kinda always use in my vids.
