The Ultimate Buffet: DADS at SM Mega mall

Hi everyone!

My interest on trying some new food contributed to my endearment with eat-all-you-can buffet restaurants serving different cuisines. It was the almost the end of the month of February that I had to take my IELTS examination at Crown Hotel in Ortigas. It was a two-day scheduled test, meaning to say, I had to go for two days, all the way from Cavite to Ortigas just for a single part on the first day which was the speaking test and on the next day for all the remaining parts. I therefore grabbed the opportunity to try Dads buffet restaurant on the same occasion knowing that speaking test duration is just fifteen minutes and Dads do not have a branch anywhere here in Cavite.

DADS Ultimate buffet is a combination of Dads Continental fare, Saisaki Japanese specialties and Kamayan’s authentic Filipino Cuisine. Here are some photos of my visit:

My favorite section: THE DESSERTS :)

And here are what I feasted:

MY TWO CENTS:

PLACE:

-It was spacious and the atmosphere was great. They had themed decorations for cuisines. The buffet tables were located on the center surrounded by seats and tables of diners. Unfortunately I was seated around the corner of the place, a lil' bit too far the buffet table so I had to carefully walk back and forth to get my next plate.
-Cleanliness is okay but not as much as I expected. Maybe due to the number of people coming in at lunch time considering it's located inside the mall.

FOOD:
-Crossover buffet food over all tasted good. Tonkatsu was okay. Filipino cuisines tastes better than Japanese IMO. The turkey and lamb meat were both tickled my palate. Although I must say that the dessert bar had limited selections.

SERVICE:
-They serve drinks! Yey! Like literally. So no need to hassle yourself and just call a waiter to order their shakes, juice or tea. Oh, their shakes was not really okay and comes in a small volume. I like blue lemonade best.
