Soft lips are just more kissable!
I've been always open about having troubles with my lips as it always become dry and honestly, very dry.
I know it's prolly my own fault since I don't really hydrate much and I use tons of lip products almost everyday. Our weather here in the Philippines is also a great factor. Hence, I'm always on hunt for great lip moisturizers. Most recent that I've tried are the lip goodies from Carmex Philippines. They come in different packages and formulas so you can choose whichever suits your taste.

*MY THOUGHTS:*
I have tried all of them except the Original Carmex Jar. All of those that I have tried were all moisturizing and true to their claims. Carmex lip balms add natural emollients to lips to help protect against chapping and cracking. One of the moisturizing ingredients in Carmex lip balm is cocoa butter, a natural emollient. They also added Menthol and phenol that both have antiseptic qualities, thus helps to speed healing by killing germs. The fact that Carmex is not addictive and they don't test on animals makes it very pleasing to everyone.
Let's begin with my favorite pick, the ORIGINAL CARMEX TUBE...
Packaging:
-Travel-friendly tube that comes in yellow with red cap.
-Just squeeze gently to get the right amount of product.
-Hygienic compared to other packaging (jar and stick form)
-Directions, Ingredients lists and Distributor are also stated.
Performance:
-The first thing that I always notice with any lip product is the smell, this lip balm smells minty and with a touch of subtle vanilla fragrance. It's not bothering in my opinion.
-It comes in a clear gel formula which glides on easily on lips. Gives a little shine to my lips and doesn't feel waxy at all.
-I tried using this before and after my lipstick. If you apply it before your lipstick, make sure to give it few more minutes for the lip balm to take effect and moisturize your lips well. I usually apply it before I do my face and eye makeup so when it's time to apply my lippie, my lips have already absorbed the lip balm and leaves a supple, moisturized lips. This formula also works well over or on top of a lipstick, specially for matte drying lippies.
-If you are suffering with really dry lips like I do, I highly recommend this.
ORIGINAL CARMEX STICK
Packaging:
-Travel-friendly stick lip balm that "clicks" whenever you twist it.
-Directions, Ingredients lists and Distributor are also stated.
Performance:
-Smells minty and with a touch of subtle vanilla fragrance. It's not bothering in my opinion.
-It has minty feeling after application which I find nice and lasts for couple of minutes.
-It feels a little waxy when I applied directly over my chapped lips. Hence, making this my night lip balm instead and makes my lips "worry free" when I wake up in the morning.
-If you don't always suffer with dry lips like I do then this might work better. It has SPF15 too.
CARMEX STRAWBERRY STICK
Packaging:
-Travel-friendly stick lip balm that "clicks" whenever you twist it.
-Directions, Ingredients lists and Distributor are also stated.
Performance:
-Smells soooo good like strawberries (like I wanna eat it).
-It also has minty feeling after application which I find nice and lasts for couple of minutes.
-It also feels a little waxy but not bothering at all compared to the previous stick. It has SPF15 too.
In general, all the lip balms moisturized my lips well. The discrepancy would be on the packaging and smell, whatever type of packaging you prefer they have it. They're affordable and now available on our local market. Thanks to Carmex PH for bringing this here.
Don't lick your lips. I'm also trying to stay away from that bad habit. Saliva just makes your lips become drier. You just apply moisture which then evaporates and leaves your lips feeling even dryer than before. Licking chapped lips can in some cases cause dermatitis around the mouth, so beware. Using lip balms with sunscreen, natural emollients and antiseptic properties is the best solution. Better stash on your purse a lip balm before you leave the house like Carmex lip balms. Most of all, let us keep ourselves hydrated specially this summer season (Yup, I'm also working on that as I don't really drink much water). Why not grab yourself one?
