A flawless skin is the perfect canvas on makeup isn't it?
Concealers-- ladies' best friend to cover up blemishes, acne marks,
dark eye circles and other skin imperfections.
That's why concealing is very important.
Concealers make or break the makeup look.
Learning proper technique and having a good concealing product is the key.
Here's a handy-dandy guy over here that helped me with my unwanted spots and bumps.
My couz got me Krave Minerale correct & conceal from a bazaar she went in.
The Krave skin care products I recommended her was doin' good
so when she saw the brand, she got home a few more.
The concealer comes in a stick form with brand label outside.
Pretty handy and convenient to use.
Comes with special ingredients as stated in the packaging: (Source: KRAVE)
1. ALLANTOIN which comes form the comfrey root used for its healing, moisturizing, soothing and anti-irritating properties. It is moisturizing and keratolytic, meaning that it causes keratin in the skin to soften.
2. LEVOMENOL is obtained from the Chamomile plant that contains high concentration of Panthenol that effectively stimulates the healing of the skin and is a superb ingredient use to soothe irritated skin.
3. ProVitamin B5 acts a shield to protect the skin from allergens, skin irritants that can cause acne, rosacea & contact dermatitis, great moisturizer.
4. GOLDEN JOJOBA decrease your skin production of oil, fights the regulation of too much sebum of the skin & controls the formulation of acne.
Luckily, it suits my shade well.
Let's take a closer look...
It's creamy and a lil' shiny.
There are some tiny beads into the tube when you look at it
but will definitely disappear after appropriate blending.
Here's my eye area without any concealer.
HELLO to my dark circles! yikez!
Here's after dabbing and blending the concealer...TADAAAA!
Remember to set with powder to mattify and set the concealer. It does settle a bit on my lines.
Over all, it's pretty convenient to tote around. This is what I use when I travel.
As far as I know, one shade suits all. Great price of PHP 285.00 for a 10 gram tube available HERE.
Decent light to medium coverage and doesn't cake with proper amount and blending.
Do not pile a lot of concealer (whatever brand) just to cover up skin imperfections.
Most likely, you'll just end up with a cake-y, heavy feeling.
If you need heavy coverage, it's better to correct the color first, then conceal.
Corrector concealers come in lavender (which neutralizes yellow-colored skin imperfections such as dull complexions and yellow bruises); green (which neutralizes the red color of blemishes, zits, red blotches, rosacea, port-wine stains); and of course the yellow or salmon correctors (used to neautralize and conceal bluish or purplish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face). After which, your skin would look more even and flawless. Then you may also opt to apply your highlighter and other skin enhancers or brighteners to lift up the face and look more fresh and awake.
