As people have become more conscious, becoming more aware of the products they're using on their hair and skin, mineral makeup undoubtedly created a revolution in the cosmetic industry.

The benefits of mineral makeup versus traditional makeup products are numerous indeed. It is free from preservatives, talc, synthetic chemicals and other filler ingredients contained in mainstream makeup. Hence, it allows once skin to breathe and less likely to cause unwanted skin irritations and pore clogging problems. However, using mineral makeup is not an absolute guarantee that you would not break out. It is also important to check on the ingredients as many companies claim their products to be "mineral" makeup as marketing strategy.

In addition, I'd like to share with you the "ingredients to avoid" blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com in your make ups, which even some "mineral" companies still use on their products. Talc, which is most often included in many mineral-based formulations. It is a suspected carcinogen. Companies use talc as a base filler to weigh down the product so the price can be marked up. Bismuth Oxychloride on the other hand, is almost routinely added to mineral makeup as a texture-enhancing product. You might as well be amazed with its effect but this ingredient is a skin irritant that can cause redness, itchiness, dryness, flakiness, or other symptoms of skin irritation. If you have sensitive skin like I do then it would be safe to always check the ingredients list. Parabens, (i.e. Methylparaben and Propylparaben) are used as preservatives. Studies show that parabens are found in tissue samples from human breast tumors and parabens may be link to development of BREAST CANCER.

Fortunately, I discovered a line of mineral makeup which is safe and certified member of P.E.T.A.'S CARING CONSUMER PROGRAM , which is the Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals through a known local beauty guru in YouTube saytiocoartillero. The mineral makeup company have paved its way to be known in the local beauty market! As a makeup enthusiast, I was attracted to try their face products as I have heard a lot of good raves about them.
Loose Mineral Foundation

NON-ACNEGENIC (won’t cause acne break outs)

Experience our chemical-free, buildable coverage Luxurious Perfection which provides a natural SPF, poreless dewy finish and are enhanced with skin-soothing and anti-bacterial properties such as Allantoin (skin regeneration), Alpha Bisabolol (anti-bacterial/inflammatory), ProVitamin B5 (potent skin moisturizer) & Golden Jojoba oil (aids in the reduction of acne & regulates sebum production)
giving your skin an amazing radiant and healthy glow while providing you a flawless, air-brushed appearance. Hide the look of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyper pigmentation and other minor facial imperfections with just a few brush strokes without ever feeling dry, heavy or looking pasty and chalky.

1. ALLANTOIN which comes form the comfrey root used for its healing, moisturizing, soothing and anti-irritating properties. It is moisturizing and keratolytic, meaning that it causes keratin in the skin to soften.
2. BISABOLOL is obtained from the Chamomile plant that contains high concentration of Panthenol that effectively stimulates the healing of the skin and is a superb ingredient use to soothe irritated skin.
3. ProVitamin B5 acts a shield to protect the skin from allergens, skin irritants that can cause acne, rosacea & contact dermatitis, great moisturizer too.
4. GOLDEN JOJOBA decrease your skin production of oil, fights the regulation of too much sebum of the skin & controls the formulation of acne.

We recommend to use make-up brush (foundation brush, kabuki brush, blush brush or taklon brush). Shake the jar and dab your brush in a swirling motion, tap it to remove excess powder & apply to your face in circular motion until desired coverage is achieved.

Ingredients: Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Silica, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Allantoin, D-Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), Bisabolol, Iron Oxides

blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com*MY THOUGHTS*

It comes in plastic jar with sifter and a pink cap which IMO is cute.
Both Foundation and OE&SH (Oil Eliminator & Skin Hydrator) comes with puffs.
I must say that this helps a lot to fill out the space between the sifter and the cap making it less messy and a lot easier to deal with loose powders.

(As the powder gets everywhere once you open the jar/packaging and you might as well end up wasting a lot of the product in the end.)
-Just leave few holes on the sifter by placing clean tape on others. It will dispense less product in a more controllable amount.
-Keep the jar upright. I don't recommend this for travelling. Still bet on compact powders for convenience sake.
-Make use of the cap instead of dipping the brush straight into the sifter.

I got mine in French Latte
(neutral shade for Fair- Semi fair complexion)

It's a little bit warm for my skin tone
but a very minor detail to notice when blended well.
I'm looking forward for KRAVE to release new shades for this.
(Pretty please???)

I had been a mineral foundation user for such a long time now, in case you haven't notice that in my MONTHLY RAVES AND FAVES.
It gives sheer to light coverage (which I like). Supposedly mineral makeup aren't to give heavy coverage, perhaps it's just buildable from light to medium.
It actually depends on your application and what products are you going to use with it.
Personally, I love to use this over my BB cream (which serves as my base for the mineral powder foundation to adhere more on my skin). They're both light weight and doesn't feel cakey at all, yet I still even out the blemishes on my skin. It isn't practical IMO to pile a lot of makeup during summer season.

I also noticed that this gives me a natural dewy finish which I find unique because my previous mineral foundation were super matte. I like that it adds glow on my skin. The staying power is good though it is really recommended to set with Krave's OE&SH. And the most important thing,
I didn't break out!
Overall, I guess this is going to be my new HG mineral foundation.

15 g jar PHP 300
30 g jar PHP 550

I ordered the 15g but that's what came in with my package. Thanks Krave!

with Pearl powder(mineral primer & finishing powder)
NON- COMEDOGENIC (won’t clog pores)
NON-ACNEGENIC (won’t cause acne break outs)
We highly recommend Krave Minerale’s OIL ELIMINATOR and SKIN HYDRATOR not just for oily gals but for all make up users out there.
OIL ELIMINATOR and SKIN HYDRATOR is translucent so it won’t interfere with other mineral makeup colors you are wearing. Plus, it is specifically formulated to virtually erase the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles & large pores when applied.
Our formula includes 2 of the healthiest ingredients:
1. PEARL POWDER that aids in healing, skin brightening, anti-wrinkling, and sun protection. It also exfoliates the skin and promotes new cell regeneration.
2. SODIUM HYALURONATE the world’s powerful skin hydrator which brings balance to your complexion & keeps your make up application fresh all day long.
Apply it before (as a make up primer) and after (as a finishing powder/veil) to control oil breakthrough all through out the day and for a long-wearing make up effect.
Ingredients: Silica,Pearl Powder, Aqua (Water), Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid)
SOURCE:  Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals

Top: NEW PACKAGING (Now comes in a clear jar with light blue cap)
Bottom: OLD PACKAGING (Yellow container)
It comes in plastic jar same as KRAVE Luxurious Foundie but with a different cap.
Just like stated above, with puff and sifter too.

I got no product to compare this with (my apologies).

You have nothing to worry about it being  "white" as it is a translucent powder, hence you wouldn't look...
Memoirs of Geisha ang peg or sadyang Foundation Day lang teh?!

Personally using it as a finishing veil than a primer. It does control my oiliness, not really all through out the day but it certainly does the job. For reference, I don't have oily skin. I also made my mom try this and she liked it. She has oily skin and it works best if she use it both as primer and finishing veil. I didn't notice any unusual scent with this as far as I am concerned. I like the fact that it prevent my face makeup from melting blogger-emoticon.blogspot.comyet hydrating my skin at the same time (Award 'yung thought na yon! I find it ironic but amazing!). It doesn't cake and feels light on skin. I highly advise to use this instead of piling a lot of foundation for face retouch. I also notice that it gives glow to the skin!
