LOCAL NAIL POLISH BRANDS

What are the local nail polish brands that you have tried as of now? Let's share! :)
So here’s my local nail polish brand collection. I know i’ts not a lot but I get to use all of these through nail art specially now that I have nothing to do, yes “bumlife” my dear. I’m still currently on that young adulthood crisis after graduating from college where you start to prepare every single professional requirement before having a stable job ugh, paperwork sucks! Okay going back to our topic, I bought almost all of these at SM malls, either from their Department store or at Watson’s Drug store. So let’s review each one of them.
1. CARONIA NAIL POLISHES

Caronia nail polishes (FROSTY ROSE, GOLDEN BRONZE, BABY PINK)
Caronia in my opinion is the most known local drugstore nail polish brand here on Philippines (Am I right?). I’ve tried so many colors already, one thing I’ve noticed is most of their matte finishes doesn’t dry fast as much as the other finishes, maybe because their matte formulas are less opaque and thinner in texture. It lasted me for almost 2 months before they dried and ended up on my trash bin (I didn’t tried to dissolve them with solvent, I don’t think they are worth saving). These 3 are my newly purchased colors.
PROS:
-Opaque after 2 coats specially my favorite Golden Bronze color
-Cheap for less than P50 each
-Wide variety of colors to choose from
CONS:
- Easily chips, some colors starts to chip after 2-3 days only even with base and top coat (plus the fact that I used a SAME BRAND of top and base coat) *sigh
2. CHIC NAIL POLISHES

Chic nail polish (PERSIAN RED, REGULAR BLUE, NEON PURPLE)
I don’t have much to say about this nail polish. They are so “liquidy”. It took me literally 5 coats just to achieve the color payoff that I want.
3. MY POSH NAIL POLISHES

My Posh nail polish
These regularly comes in mini cute-sized bottles. For the price you can’t go wrong but don’t expect a lot from the product itself.
PROS:
- Doesn’t easily chip, even lasted on my nails for 2 weeks
-Very cheap for P16 each
- I find the size more practical to buy. I haven’t really finished any regular-sized bottle of nail polish yet, just threw them away either because they’re old and bad for my nails or they dried up on the bottle itself.
CONS:
-You have to apply more than 2 coats to achieve desired opacity of color.
4. WISH NAIL POLISH SET

WISH nail polish set
OH I WAS SURPRISE BY THESE BABIES! I was initially looking for a white matte or glossy polish to make a magazine nail art then I saw this cute red and purple (my fave colors) flower toe thing so I decided to buy a set rather than purchasing one bottle of white nail polish of other brands. Oh, What do you call these stuff with the flower design on it which makes your toes separate each other when used? (Geez, I  kept on thinking it lol).Okayyyy so it’s just called as “toe separator” according to omniscient google,
my gulay yon lang pala!
 :)
PROS:
- Opaque
-Affordable for a set of 3 polish and 2 nail accessory (P69)
-Doesn’t chip easily
CONS:
-Applicator brush was too big for my nails so it’s kinda messy if you don’t apply them carefully.
-Streaky when applied for white, but the nude is okay.
5. BOBBIE NAIL POLISHES

Bobbie nail polish
They are one of the local brand that makes good quality nail polish in my opinion. Their price is quite marked high compared to the mentioned brands above but I recommend them most.
PROS:
- Opaque
-Prices are different, ranges from P40-60 each
-Doesn’t chip easily
-Doesn’t dry on the bottle but dries on my nails fast
6. HBC SANSAN AND ALLUE nail polish

HBC Sansan nail polish
I have only tried these two colors from SANSAN. And YES I recommend them, for P42 each they are considered cheap dirt. They make good glittery top coats for my nails.

HBC Allue nail polish
These is the only HBC Allue nail polish I’ve tried ever. It’s not opaque. I picked out the black one. It appeared gray after 1 coat, needs up to 3 or more coats to appear as black. btw this is P25 each.
7. CARONIA TOP COAT nail polish

Caronia Top Coat
WORST TOP COAT that I’ve tried. It doesn’t works as it claims. It’s not fast-drying, it forms bubbles,it’s not so glossy and it doesn’t really makes my polish stay longer. Useless (sigh). It costs P72 (if I’m not mistaken). I prefer you to buy a clear nail polish and  a quick dry nail polish solution, it will still cost around P70-80 for both.
8.  CARONIA BASE COAT nail polish

Caronia Base Coat
This one is recommendable unlike the useless caronia top coat. It’s priced at P42 on Watsons.
9. MWUAH nail polish

Mwah nail polish
These is so mini. I don’t remember the exact price but it’s still a cheap local brand.
SWATCHES:

top: allue black, caronia golden bronze, chic persian red, my posh blue, caronia baby pink, my posh violet, sansan gold and silver ; bottom: wish white, wish nude beige, my posh red, chic blue, caronia frosted pin, chic violet, mwah green, bobbie premium pink

  1. I also like the basecoat from caronia. It really prevents my nails from turning yellow and hardens the nail.

You should try the polishes from Klik! , very pigmented and cheap.

    2. why don't you try Cutex? the colors are pretty good and it has keratin which is healthy for nails. It prevents nails from turning yellow it doesn't chip easily but it's kinda expensive. 1 bottle costs 120 pesos but it's worth it.
