Having a hard time to decide which BB cream to buy?
Worry no more as I share my two cents on different kinds of BB creams from Maybelline New York.
There are two things to consider when you initially wanted to try the most sought after skin product now a days, BB cream. First, where can you purchase? Next, would it fit your budget?
With that being said, here are two options that I have personally tried and I recommend.
The Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 skin transformer BB cream and
the latter Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 High Protection Anti UV BB cream. That was mouthful!
Anyway, they're both locally available and affordable.
Let's start first with Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 skin transformer BB cream.
Brightens instantly, Evens tone, Smoothes skin, Refines & minimizes pores, Clears skin, Conceals imperfections, Moisturizes 24H, Protects with SPF 26/PA+++
No oil.No fragrance.
No pore clogging.
Even suitable for sensitive skin.
Packaging: Came in an 18 ml travel friendly tube packaging. A little less compared to my Asian brand BB creams.
Formula: It has a light weight formula that easily blends well on skin. No cakey feeling at all.
Coverage: Sheer coverage but buildable. Evens out skin tone. Use concealer for skin imperfection.
Shade: The shade that I got is way darker than my skin color. Better experience if I had the 01 Fresh instead of the darker 02 Natural.
Oil control: Stays oil-free for more or less 4 hours without any touch up. Highly recommended to set with translucent powder.
Over all Performance:
No complains on the volume for it's affordable price of PHP 259.00. This seems to be a great choice for those who wanted to try out BB creams. A little chemical smell noticed. Overall, this is a good BB cream specially for teens and students. A good BB cream that would fit your purse and your budget.
Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 High Protection Anti UV BB cream
High UV Protection (SPF 50, PA+++), Evens skin tone, Visibly lightens skin tone, Smooths pores,
Corrects the appearance of dark spots, More hydrated skin, Conceals imperfections, All day coverage, long lasting
Packaging: Also came in an 18 ml travel friendly tube packaging. Only with a different colored cap and design but same color and fonts used.
Formula: It's formula is more watery and easier to blend well. Seems like absorbed by the skin so definitely no cakey-ness. It's noticeably hydrating and has a brightening skin formula.
Coverage: Light coverage and is not buildable in my opinion. Evens out skin tone. Perhaps, you can use concealer for hiding dark and unwanted spots as this may not do that.
Shade: The shade that I got is tad darker than my skin color. I also had the 02 Natural, same as the previous Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 skin transformer BB cream but this one is closer to my skin color.
Oil control: Stays oil-free for more or less 4 hours without any retouch on me. Given that I don't have oily skin.
Over all Performance:
It's fairly priced at PHP 299.00. A steep higher than the Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 skin transformer BB cream but you're paying for more skin benefits such as higher SPF and better texture in my opinion. I would recommend this more. It feels hydrating on skin plus better skin protection from the sun. Great for everyday wear. Although not suggested for pictorials as it would give white casts on photos.
